People have expectations...
of Kundalini which are not conducive to their inner development. They ascribe certain traditions and elements of expectation into what they think Kundalini is and what should be occurring according to those cultural expectations.
I have found that Kundalini does not bind itself into single tradition of one cultural expression but is held within all cultural expressions and all belief systems.
These comprise the many paths up the Kundalini mountain. Because of this broad minded acceptance of the many different pathways up the Kundalini mountain some people are upset that I do not specifically honor their culture as they themselves cling to the expectations that their specific culture expresses. This extends to the quality of teachings that will come through a person who is teaching others about the Kundalini.
Often they will let their cultural expectation form a basis for how they will receive Kundalini information.
It is a weakness of egotism that allows this to be so. I will suggest that you try to keep your expectation absent from your interactions with the Kundalini within you. It's difficult to fill an overflowing cup. Let those cultural expectations be poured out and allow the new understandings given to you directly from grace or from a person your grace directs you to to become the new basis for the new sacred and holy individual to emerge from. -Chrism Kundalini
