The Seven Deadly Sins

ego emotions inner work sexuality Oct 03, 2025

There are certain excellent mystical teachings scattered throughout the main religions of our current society.
One group of teachings called "The Seven Deadly Sins" is a group of teachings that have a direct correlation with Kundalini activation and awakening.

These are collection of behavioral modification teachings that address certain levels of egotistic overindulgence that can lead a person off of the sacred path of Kundalini.
Here is a brief explanation of each one.

Wrath:
An overindulgence of extreme anger or revenge.

Vanity:
An over indulgence of excessive pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements.

Greed:
Intense and selfish desire for something, especially money, power, food or property.

Sloth:
Laziness. A disinclination to action or labor. Spiritual apathy and inactivity.

Gluttony:
Gluttony means over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or wealth items, particularly as status symbols.

Envy:
A jealous feeling of discontent or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck. Desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable attribute belonging to (someone else).

Lust:
Excessive and distorted overindulgence of sexual desire.

These qualities are well represented in our current society and in the constant presentation through television or the internet and other expressions of media we can be constantly reminded to self-correct away from these qualities.
Remember you have Kundalini. You have one of the rarest gifts that a human can have and yet in order to have it well and evolving one must be conditioned in order to hold it.

The self corrections outlined by the seven deadly sins are an excellent tool and teaching from the ancients to help us curb our appetites and help us to maintain a level of purification that is nutritious and balanced for the Kundalini activating or awakening individual.
